Korean singer Hae Kyung has had musical training in her life since being a small child. In her early music career, she received her diploma at the College of Music at the ChungAng University in Korea, as well as an extensive summer at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Italy. She has won prestigious awards, such as the first prize in the vocal section in a prestigious contest hosted by the Korea Music Association. Ms. Lee would then go on to study voice performance extensively at the Graduate School of Music at the University of Oregon and the University of South Carolina. And she earned a professional performance degree in voice from the Graduate School of Music at the University of South Carolina.
Whilst winning several contests, she established her professional career as an opera singer in the US before returning to Korea as a nationwide performer and to become a music educator. In Korea, starting with the lead role of ‘Violetta’ in the opera ‘LaTraviata’, Ms. Lee continuously went on the leading roles in several prestigious operas such as ‘Signor Deluso’, ‘Turandot’, and ‘Don Giovanni’. Furthermore, her over 100 international and domestic performances from 1997 to 2007, Ms. Lee taught vocal music at the Music School of the JoongAng University as a voice instructor. As a result, many of her Korean students gained admission to graduate programs at Europe’s leading music school.
