Emma Johnson - Voice Teacher in Saskatoon and Regina SK
Emma is a Saskatchewan-based soprano with a passion for helping singers build confidence, healthy technique, and a lifelong love of music. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Toronto and a Master of Music from the University of Manitoba, where she studied under acclaimed soprano Monica Huisman.
As a performer, Emma has appeared as a soloist with orchestras across Canada, including the Regina Symphony Orchestra, Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, and Prince George Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed with Saskatoon Opera in both mainstage productions and the Summer Proms Series.
Recent highlights include her debut as the soprano soloist in Handel's Messiah with the Regina Symphony Orchestra, as well as a performance of Mozart's Exsultate, jubilate in concert with members of the Regina Symphony Orchestra. In 2020, Emma was recognized as one of CBC's 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30 and was the recipient of the Grand Award at the 2019 National Music Festival of Canada.
Emma believes every student deserves an encouraging and supportive learning environment where they can have fun, ask questions, and discover their own unique voice. Whether working with beginners or more experienced singers, she is passionate about developing healthy vocal technique while nurturing creativity, musicality, and confidence. She strives to help each student grow not only as a singer but also as a confident and expressive musician.
