Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need my own violin before the first lesson?

Yes, having an instrument at home is essential for practicing between sessions. If you don't own one yet, don't worry! We can easily recommend fantastic local Calgary music shops that offer high-quality, affordable student rentals.

What styles of music do you teach?

Our instructors are well-versed in a variety of styles. While classical foundations help build great technique, we love incorporating fiddle, jazz, pop, and traditional folk music into your repertoire to keep learning fun.

How often should my child or I attend classes?

For steady, enjoyable progress, we highly recommend one consistent weekly session coupled with brief, regular practice sessions at home throughout the week.
