Heather has always loved music, she began studying piano at the age of six and voice at the age of 10. Heather has always taken a strong interest in exploring music and inspiring others to love music as much as her. Heather studied music and theatre at the Vancouver Academy of Music, and Abingdon School for singers in Oxford, England. Heather’s most recent roles include First and Second Lady from Mozart’s Magic Flute, Liu from Puccini’s Turandot and Countess from Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro. Heather has been featured on CBC radio. She has had the opportunity to work with Toby Spence, Catherine Wyn Rogers, Susan McCulloch, David Meek and Larissa Divacova.
Heather was born and raised in Alberta. She currently resides in Vancouver, BC where she teaches voice to children of all ages and skill levels. Heather holds a Bachelor of Music in Opera Performance and minor in Theatre from Vancouver Academy of Music, ARCT in Voice and Piano from Royal Conservatory of Music, and a Early Childhood music certificate. She enjoys working with young singers to develop proper vocal technique and challenging them to listen, think, and explore different types of music on a regular basis. As part of Heather’s work with students she had the pleasure of adjudicating many music festivals across Alberta.
